Job summary

Winder Center for Nursing and Healing is seeking a Cook to join our team on weekends. You will assist with food preparation and follow dietary guidelines to create nutritious meals for residents and patients.

Responsibilities include operating kitchen equipment, recording substitutions, and maintaining a warm, welcoming environment. A high school diploma is required, and Serv Safe certification is preferred or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of healthcare kitchen experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Serv Safe certification preferred or willing to obtain within 90 days.
• Dependable, positive and ready to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation following established guidelines and under supervision.
• Create nutritious dishes according to dietary guidelines for each meal.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, and more.
• Record menu substitutions accurately and clearly.
• Provide a warm and friendly demeanor to patients, families, and visitors.
• Adhere to safety protocols and corporate compliance standards.
