Job summary

IVI RMA North America is seeking a Weekend Clinical Assistant/Phlebotomist in Marlton, NJ. This part-time role works every weekend from 5:30am-9am, supporting physicians and the clinical team with patient care and procedures.

The ideal candidate has a Certified Medical Assistant Program and is comfortable with phlebotomy, documentation, and using Microsoft Office and EMR systems. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program – preferred.
• Studies area: Nursing/healthcare assistant.
• Studies area: Phlebotomy Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physicians with clinical procedures.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and equipment per protocol.
• Document ultrasound measurements and provider comments.
• Set up and stock examination and procedure rooms.
• Handle specimen collection and processing for in-house and outside labs.

Weekend Clinical Assistant/Phlebotomist

Salary Range: $20.00 To $24.00 Hourly

IVI RMA North America has a need for a Weekend Clinical Assistant for our Marlton, NJ location. This position would work every weekend from 5:30am-9am.

The Clinical Assistant will promote and restore patients’ health by assisting in the nursing process and supporting physicians and other multidisciplinary team members with hands-on patient care. You will help to create a positive experience for our patients and ensure that patients receive high-quality service by assisting clinical team with patient care.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities

• Assist Physicians with clinical procedures
• Follow proper protocols for all procedures
• Accurately document ultrasound measurements, provider comments and use appropriate stim templates while chaperoning ultrasounds.
• Clean exam rooms and equipment per protocol.
• Set up and stock examination and procedure rooms.
• Maintain clinical supplies inventory.
• Specimen collection, processing for in-house and outside laboratories.
• Manage Lanfax for outside labs, reports, results. Enter results and email to provider team for review.
• Provide patients with information regarding upcoming procedures and reassurance/comfort before, during and after procedures.

Academic Training

• Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program – preferred
• Studies level: Certification
• Studies area: Nursing/healthcare assistant
• Studies area: Phlebotomy Program

Position Requirements/Experience

• 6+ months experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice
• Prior experience in women’s healthcare – preferred
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings

Technical Skills

• knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel – required
• EMR experience - preferred
