Job summary

IVIRMA North America is seeking a Part-Time Phlebotomist for our Basking Ridge, NJ location. The role requires availability every other weekend from 5:30am-11:30am to draw blood for fertility-related laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen labeling, and maintaining a clean, compliant phlebotomy area. Proficiency in EMR and Microsoft Office is required; 3+ years venipuncture experience preferred. IVIRMA offers comprehensive benefits for 30+ hours weekly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• EMR experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens for laboratory procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process to patients and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain phlebotomy area, store and transport specimens per procedures.
• Identify patients and comply with OSHA regulations.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $24.00 Hourly

IVI RMA North America has a need for a Part-Time Phlebotomist for our Basking Ridge location. We are looking for someone that can work every other weekend from 5:30am-11:30am.

This individual will draw blood from patients for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. The Phlebotomist maintains a cooperative relationship with clinical staff and helps to create a positive experience for our patients.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

• Properly identifies patients.
• Performs and explains the process of the venipuncture and/or other specimen collection as required.
• Conducts blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging specimens.
• To store and transport specimen samples according to the different procedures to maintain integrity of the specimen.
• Understands and complies with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Maintains clean and stocked phlebotomy Area.
• Reassures patients and provide comfort to ease anxieties.

Academic Training:

• Completion of a Phlebotomy Program– highly preferred (required in CA, WA, TX).
• Studies level: Certification
• Studies area: Phlebotomy Program

Position Requirements/Experience:

• 3+ years' recent work performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting - required
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Word, and Outlook - required
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience - required
