Job summary

IVI RMA North America is seeking a Weekend Phlebotomist for our Basking Ridge, NJ location. The role runs 5:30am–11:30am on weekends, performing venipuncture and specimen handling for infertility-related laboratory procedures.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of venipuncture experience, EMR proficiency, and a phlebotomy program. A comprehensive benefits package is offered after meeting hours requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' recent work performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting - required.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
• Completion of a Phlebotomy Program – highly preferred (required in CA, WA, TX).

Responsibilities

• Identify patients correctly and perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Draw blood, label specimens, and centrifuge as required.
• Store and transport specimens per procedures to maintain integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Maintain a clean, stocked phlebotomy area and reassure patients.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $24.00 Hourly

IVI RMA North America has a need for a Weekend Phlebotomist for our Basking Ridge location from 5:30am-11:30am.

This individual will draw blood from patients for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. The Phlebotomist maintains a cooperative relationship with clinical staff and helps to create a positive experience for our patients.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities

• Properly identifies patients.
• Performs and explains the process of the venipuncture and/or other specimen collection as required.
• Conducts blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging specimens.
• To store and transport specimen samples according to the different procedures to maintain integrity of the specimen.
• Understands and complies with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Maintains clean and stocked phlebotomy Area.
• Reassures patients and provide comfort to ease anxieties.

Academic Training

• Completion of a Phlebotomy Program– highly preferred (required in CA, WA, TX).
• Studies level: Certification
• Studies area: Phlebotomy Program
