Job summary

Pembroke Hospital in Pembroke, MA is seeking an Activity Therapist to join the inpatient behavioral health team. This full-time role requires working one weekend day and a schedule that may run Tue-Sat or Sun-Thu, supporting expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on inpatient units.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document treatment plans, and educate staff to ensure effective group facilitation.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in related field and working toward or has already obtained a certification in expressive, music, art, recreation, occupational, or physical therapy.
• OR Bachelor's degree in recreational or expressive therapy with one of the following certifications: CTRS, MT-BC, ATR-BC, or other Expressive Therapist modality

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals.
• Facilitate groups on the inpatient psychiatric units.
• Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings.
• Provide education to Mental Health Associates through both formal and informal means to ensure effective and appropriate therapeutic group facilitation.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
