Applied Composites is seeking a CNC Machinist for the weekend shift in Indianapolis, IN. Operate 5-axis CNC machines and use existing programming to manufacture tools and parts to exact dimensions.

The ideal candidate has several years of CNC operating experience, some exposure to CNC programming, and a self-starting attitude as duties may include indirect supervision and collaboration with Engineering and Production teams. Benefits include medical, dental, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Secondary certificate or high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Some exposure to CNC programming.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 5-axis CNC machine.
• Run CNC programs to produce tools & parts to dimensional/tolerance requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering & Production to solve problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Recommend new technologies for continuous improvement.
• Follow standard practices for working with composites.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
