Applied Composites in California is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate 5-axis CNC machines and use existing programs to fabricate tools and parts to tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of relevant experience, exposure to CNC programming, and a self-starter attitude, able to work under indirect supervision. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to work with advanced composite materials.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNC programming experience preferred.
• Ability to work with composites and other materials.
• Proficient in using measuring gauges (micrometers, dial indicators, etc.).
• Ability to do trig and geometry calculations.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Operate a 5-axis CNC machine.
• Run CNC programs to produce tools & parts to dimensional/tolerance requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering & Production to solve problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Recommend new technologies for continuous improvement.
• Follow standards when working with composites and other materials.
