Job summary

Applied Composites is seeking a CNC Programmer on 2nd shift to manage, program, and maintain CNC equipment for prototype and production of composite parts in Indianapolis, IN.

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of CNC programming experience, Mastercam proficiency, and GD&T knowledge. Experience with 3-, 4-, 5-axis milling and 2-axis turning in aerospace or defense environments is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Secondary certificate or high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of CNC programming experience on lathes and multi-axis mills.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints or specifications for a job.
• Program very close tolerance parts and verify programs.
• CNC program in Mastercam (2020) for 3, 4, and 5 axis geometry.
• Machining on 3-axis vertical mills, large 5-axis CNC Router, 2-axis lathe.
• Work with operators and engineers to determine scope and schedules.
• Determine tooling, feeds, speeds, and other manufacturing requirements.
• Train others in machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
• Maintain records and documentation; ensure safety standards.
