Job summary

Franklin Surgery Center is hiring a Business Office Scheduler and Verifier to schedule pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. No weekends, holidays, or on-call.

The Scheduling Coordinator verifies insurance, collects information, notifies patients of financial responsibility prior to service, reviews obligations, and coordinates with materials management to ensure implants and supplies are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in healthcare facility business office is desired.
• Computer and office equipment skills are required.
• Medical terminology required.

Responsibilities

• Schedules pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients for procedures.
• Verifies insurance coverage based on physician information provided at scheduling.
• Contacts patient to gather information and notify about financial responsibility prior to service.
• Reviews financial obligations with patient and coordinates with materials management for implants/equipment.
• Follows all policies and procedures.
