Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a Cytology Technologist to join our SW team. Schedule: M-F, 8 to 4:30 p.m. No weekends. Benefits eligible.

The role involves preparation and accurate evaluation of specimens for microscopic examination and assisting pathologists in fine needle aspirations. Education: none required. Licenses/Certifications: CT (ASCP) Registry or eligible for registry and pass within one year of employment.

Responsabilités

• Performs and evaluates cytologic test results with quality control and maintenance of instruments, including microscopes.
• Assists in fine needle aspiration procedures and cytology specimen processing, reporting results accordingly.
• Ensures patient/staff safety and adheres to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budget and time constraints.
• Acts as a preceptor and mentor to less experienced staff and supports department goals.
• Delivers compassionate, personalized care and maintains efficient service for patients and colleagues.
• Other duties as assigned.
