Job summary

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of relevant experience in web content/strategy.
• Advanced knowledge of marketing, branding and communications.
• Experience with large or complex websites and governance.
• SEO/AEO, accessibility, CMS, analytics, and web writing experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify core audiences and reorganize content for usability.
• Collaborate to weave brand voice across the site and ecosystem.
• Track content changes and log work for measurement.
• Develop a content governance strategy with UMC and IT.
• Partner with agencies on web governance and content strategy.
• Use SEMRush/Screaming Frog for optimization and audits.
• Audit content with analytics tools and organize the project.
• Draft or refresh content across sjsu.edu pages.
• Refresh stories and ensure accurate, audience-centered writing.
• Coordinate reviews and edits with stakeholders campus-wide.
• Recommend varied content formats and consolidate pages into pillars.
• Document content and revisions for traceability.
