Job summary

San Jose State University is seeking a Web Content Migration Specialist to support a one-year, benefited website redesign. You will audit content at scale, drive a ROT analysis across 30k pages, and coordinate with the UM&C team to meet accelerated timelines.

You’ll leverage analytics tools, develop content migration plans, and align with internal audiences and external stakeholders to ensure a cohesive content strategy during the overhaul.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a related field; 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience migrating large-scale websites (10,000+ pages).
• Strong project management skills; proficient with Asana.
• Knowledge of analytics, SEO/AEO, accessibility, CMS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Migrate and manage a 10,000+ page website content footprint.
• Collaborate with Director and Content Strategist on governance framework.
• Oversee auditing tools to develop migration recommendations and action plans.
• Identify outdated content and prioritize rewrites, removals, or reorganization.
• Create detailed migration spreadsheets and track progress across the project.
