Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. seeks an ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) in Lafayette, LA to perform patient fittings for the wearable Assure system.

You will train patients on device use, coordinate with clinicians and caregivers, and travel to patient homes and hospitals for fittings. The role requires a background in patient care or clinical/engineering disciplines, strong communication, and valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a paid patient care experience (not as a family caregiver).
• Clinical or engineering background may include nurses, cardiac device sales, clinical engineers or related roles.
• Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable).
• Complete background check; Florida and Ohio require level 2 screening paid by Kestra.
• Willingness to pay an annual DME fee deducted from completed work orders.
• Ability to pay for vendor credentialing during a 90-day probation.
• Experience in patient and/or clinician education.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence with good driving record.
• Ability to travel in the region with disclosures for relationships and referrals.
• Credentialing for hospital systems including vaccination, background check, drug screening, and policy reviews.

Responsibilities

• Fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator via assignments dispatched from corporate HQ.
• Provide instruction and instill confidence in Assure patients.
• Contact prescribers, caregivers and patients to schedule services.
• Accept assignments including daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
• Travel to hospitals and patients’ homes for fittings.
• Measure patient to determine garment size.
• Review and transmit essential paperwork to receive garments and services.
• Manage inventory of Assure system kits, garments and equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality in line with the pledge.
• Adhere to privacy and security requirements.
