Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. seeks an ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) to conduct patient fittings for the wearable defibrillator. You will train and support local patients, coordinate with prescribers and caregivers, and travel to hospitals, clinics, and homes to perform fittings.

The role requires 1 year of paid patient care experience, a clinical or engineering background, and valid driver’s license. You may work flexible hours, including weekends, with travel across the designated region.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a paid patient care experience (not as a family caregiver)
• Clinical or engineering background including nurses, cardiac device sales reps, clinical engineers, cath lab techs, PAs, or ECG technicians
• Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable)
• Willingness to pay an annual DME fee deducted from work orders
• Ability to pay for vendor credentialing upfront during a 90-day probationary period
• Experience in patient and/or clinician education
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to travel in the region to hospitals, homes, and clinics
• Credentialing for hospital systems (vaccination, background check, drug screen)
• Completion of online HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Electrical/Fire Safety courses
• Preferred: MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams
• Preferred: direct cardiac patient care experience (RN, RT, CVIS, Paramedic, CRM)

Responsibilities

• Fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator via assigned training from corporate HQ
• Provide instruction and instill confidence in Assure patients
• Schedule services by contacting prescribers, caregivers, and patients
• Attend to daytime, evening, and weekend assignments
• Travel to hospitals and patients’ homes to provide fitting services
• Measure patient to determine garment size
• Process paperwork to receive Assure garment and services
• Manage inventory of Assure system kits and garments
• Adhere to confidentiality pledge and privacy policies
