Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. in Richmond, IN seeks a contracted ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) to fit and train patients with a wearable defibrillator as part of the sales and clinical team.

The role requires 1 year of paid patient care or related clinical experience, a clinical or engineering background, and a valid driver’s license. Travel to hospitals and patients’ homes is expected with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 1 year paid patient care experience (not a family caregiver).
• Clinical or engineering background including nurses, cardiac device sales reps, clinical engineers, catheterization lab techs, PAs, or ECG techs.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence with good driving record.
• Completion of background check; Florida and Ohio require level 2 screening paid by Kestra.
• Ability to pay for vendor credentialing during a 90-day probationary period.
• Experience in patient and/or clinician education.
• Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable).
• Review and agree to hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator via assignments dispatched from corporate headquarters.
• Provide instruction and instill confidence in Assure patients.
• Travel to hospitals, patients' homes, and healthcare facilities to provide fitting services.
• Measure patients to determine garment size.
• Manage inventory of Assure system kits and garments.
