Job summary

Ferguson is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for the Waterworks Division to service customers in Southwest Virginia. This field-based role offers a base plus commission with a competitive total compensation package and company-provided tools, including cell phone and laptop.

You will build relationships, identify new business, price quotes, and manage the sales cycle until delivery, while utilizing Salesforce to track activity and results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years industry related sales experience preferred.
• Strong technical background and experience in water/wastewater industry preferred.
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Self-motivator, ability to multi-task and learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and assigned customers from order to delivery and beyond.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base; work with management on sales strategies.
• Perform product quotations and resolve problems for customers.
• Analyze territory competition, devise sales strategy, and communicate it to management.
• continually improve sales skills and product knowledge to project a professional image in the field.
• Document all sales activity in Salesforce for pipeline tracking and closure results.
