Job summary

Ferguson seeks a Waterworks Municipal Outside Sales Representative to serve customers across two territories: New Hampshire & Vermont or Western Massachusetts & Connecticut. The role is field-based, focusing on building relationships through the order-to-delivery cycle and beyond.

You will develop new business, quote products, analyze competition, and work with branch teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Salesforce tracks activity and pipeline, supporting a strong growth trajectory.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry-related sales experience preferred.
• Strong communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and customers from order to delivery.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and accounts.
• Quote products and resolve issues to support sales.
• Analyze competition and coordinate with management on sales strategies.
• Improve sales skills and product knowledge to project a professional field image.
• Log all activities in Salesforce for pipeline tracking and closure measurement.
