Job summary

Webber is seeking a construction manager to oversee water and wastewater projects from start to finish, ensuring schedules and budgets are adhered to. You will coordinate with clients, engineers, and contractors, maintaining safety and quality standards across the site.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in construction-related fields and has 7–10 years of relevant experience, with strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering (required).
• 7–10 years of water/wastewater construction experience is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Knowledge of Procore or Bluebeam highly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
• Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to make quick decisions under pressure and manage delays.
• Ability to multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
• Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead initial planning with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders; define jobs and material requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate projects; budget time and resources to meet deadlines.
• Prepare and monitor budgets; report progress to clients.
• Ensure adherence to budgets and adjust plans for issues.
• Plan, coordinate, oversee, and direct construction activities and systems.
• Ensure safety standards and codes on site are met.
• Select, contract, and supervise contractors for needs.
• Monitor contractors to ensure quality and compliance with specs.
• Oversee contract negotiations and changes.
• Collaborate with clients and design professionals to resolve issues.
• Lead responses to delays, weather, or emergencies at sites.
• Build strong working relationships with owners, managers, designers, and tradespeople.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
