Job summary

MWH Constructors, Inc. is seeking a qualified Project Manager to lead critical water, wastewater and advanced treatment plant construction projects in the Denver metropolitan area.

The role spans municipal and industrial clients and includes delivery methods such as CM-at-Risk or Design-Build, with project sizes from $20M to $800M. Qualifications include a 4-year engineering/construction management degree and 7–10 years of construction/management experience, including water/wastewater project

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering/construction management degree or equivalent experience and training/education.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of construction, design, finance and management experience/knowledge on heavy civil or industrial construction projects.
• 3-5 years of experience on water or wastewater plant projects.
• Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices and their impact on project activities.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Strong business-orientation and judgment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and staff key field positions or subordinate project managers; coordinate staffing with US Operations and other Area department heads.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Maintain liaison with prime client and A/E contacts to facilitate preconstruction and construction activities.
• Monitor/control construction to ensure schedule and budget adherence; investigate and correct issues.
• Represent Company in project meetings and assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interests and maintain client relations.
• Provide leadership and technical support to project engineers and superintendents.
• Procurement of subcontractors and materials via Purchase Agreements and Subcontracts.
• Support Change Management, Cost Estimating, revenue and Cost Forecasting and Scheduling.
