Job summary

City of Atlanta seeks a Procurement Specialist to assist with planning and executing CIP projects for Watershed Management. You will manage commodities and professional services contracts and ensure compliance with the City’s Code of Ordinances while coordinating with internal stakeholders.

The role requires knowledge of RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and contracts, plus strong communication and staff training on procurement policies. Hybrid work with 4 days in‑person and 1 remote day weekly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a closely related field.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience with procurement/purchasing and/or contract administration.
  • Experience with RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, and contract agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with procurement planning and execution of CIP projects for the Department of Watershed Management.
  • Manage procurement of commodities and professional services contracts.
  • Oversee complex contracts to ensure continuity of services and compliance with ordinances.
  • Prepare legislation documents for formal solicitations and train staff on procurement policies.
