Job summary

City of Atlanta is seeking an experienced procurement professional to support CIP project procurement planning and execution within the Watershed Management Department. You will manage commodity and professional services contracts, ensuring continuity and regulatory compliance while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

The role requires strong knowledge of procurement laws, contract administration, and the ability to train staff and lead teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3–5 years of relevant procurement experience.
  • Experience with procurement/purchasing and contract administration (2+ years).
  • Knowledge of public procurement laws, budgeting, and contract management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with procurement planning and execution for CIP projects in Watershed Management.
  • Manage procurement of commodities and professional services contracts.
  • Oversee complex contracts to ensure service continuity and compliance with ordinances.
  • Prepare legislation documents for formal solicitations.
  • Train staff on procurement policies and procedures.
