Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related area.
• Two (2) years of Construction or Project Management related experience.
• Must have some knowledge of Federal and State regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collect and review all aspects of engineer drawings, studies, and reports. Create and comment on plan revisions to assist Engineer on requirements for approval.
• Coordinates document management activities with team to ensure effective and efficient maintenance of document.
• Routes plans through the review process by entering data in Accela permitting software.
• Ensure and enforce compliance with Federal, State, City and AWWA Codes regarding engineering design requirements.
• Provide explanation of departmental procedures to customers to facilitate permits, issuance requirements and payment of services; to direct customers to appropriate areas for services requested.
• Coordinate with other Engineering Divisions, Watershed Offices, City Departments, and external Agencies.
• Create an accurate cost estimate.
• Research projects and perform site visits to gather information.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
