Job summary

City of Atlanta, GA is seeking a Watershed Plan Reviewer I to examine construction plans for regulatory compliance and to support plan review services within the Watershed Management Department.

Under supervision, this role involves reviewing drawings, compiling data, preparing cost estimates, and coordinating with engineers and other city divisions to ensure efficient permit processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Two years of construction or project management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulations is required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and critique engineering plans and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans for compliance with codes, ordinances, and laws.
• Coordinate document management and track plan review progress in the database.
• Provide explanations of procedures to customers to facilitate permits and payments.
• Create accurate cost estimates for projects.
• Assist with site visits and pre-construction meetings when needed.
