Job summary

The City of Atlanta seeks a seasoned IT Project Manager to lead complex IT initiatives for the Watershed Management Information Services team. You will define scope, schedule, budgets, and deliverables, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and ensure successful on‑time delivery within approved resources.

This role requires PMP certification, 5+ years of project leadership, and strong stakeholder engagement in a public sector setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in IT, engineering, or business.
• Five (5) years of team or project lead experience.
• PMP certification required; other certs (IITL, CORBIT, CAPM, CSM, CSPO) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT projects from initiation to delivery with budget and schedule responsibility.
• Develop detailed project plans and manage scope, risks, issues, and changes.
• Coordinate cross-functional IT staff and stakeholders for timely execution.
• Ensure PMO governance artifacts (BRDs, RACI, risk logs) are maintained.
• Report project status and progress, and manage vendor relationships.
