Job summary

Typhoon Texas Austin Waterpark is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team, oversee vendor relationships, and ensure two or more trades are proficient among the crew. The role partners with HR to recruit, train, and coach staff while upholding safety and cleanliness standards across the park.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of maintenance experience with supervisory duties and is capable of managing daily operations, schedules, and compliance tasks in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience required, including 1+ year supervising others; waterpark maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be able to traverse the property & equipment to diagnose building or ride issues and repair as needed.
• Must be physically able to perform repairs; may be required to stand for long periods.
• Be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays; outdoors in warm/humid environments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster a team-focused, others-first culture to exceed community and corporate expectations.
• Manage direct reports with clear expectations for projects, goals, and daily operations.
• Provide regular training and guidance to each direct report.
• Schedule maintenance staff to ensure park opens/closes daily and completes compliance checklists.
• Ensure deadlines for opening/closing tasks are met with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet safety and operating standards for equipment and spaces.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures for attractions and park areas.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections to reduce downtime and incidents.
• Engage vendors within budget and contract limits to complete projects on time.
• Maintain compliance with local and national codes (Fire, ADA, OSHA, Building Code, etc.).
• Report facility issues promptly to the Director of Facilities.
