Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock, TX seeks a Waterpark Director to oversee daily waterpark operations, safety, guest satisfaction and profitability.

You will lead a high-performing team, manage budgets, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvements while embodying our Lead with Love promise. Requires 5+ years in leadership, lifeguard background, scheduling, HR knowledge, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in operational floor management/director role preferred
• Previous lifeguard experience required
• Significant experience with guest services and conflict resolution
• Experience with scheduling and managing labor budget
• Experience with Hiring & Retention initiatives
• Basic knowledge of Human Resource law and function
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, Sports and Recreation, Hotel/Resort Management or related area preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the waterpark, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency while delivering a memorable guest experience.
• Lead, train, and mentor associates to foster a positive, high-performing team culture focused on guest satisfaction.
• Develop and implement operational procedures, policies, and safety protocols to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
• Manage budgets and resources, including staffing, supplies, and maintenance, to optimize park performance and profitability.
• Analyze guest feedback and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous enhancements.
