Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Waterpark Lead Lifeguard to oversee safety across indoor and outdoor waterpark areas. The role leads lifeguards, supports managers, and ensures guest safety with a strong commitment to exceptional service.

The position is hourly and includes opportunities to lead, train, and contribute to a premier guest experience at multiple resort locations. A Starguard Lifeguard Instructor certification is required, with preferred leadership and waterpark

Qualifications

• Starguard Lifeguard Instructor certification required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a waterpark role preferred.
• Leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.

Responsibilities

• Apply life-saving skills and first aid to guests as needed.
• Assist managers with waterpark operations, supervision, cleanliness, and guest service.
• Ensure safety of guests/associates in all pools, hot tubs, slides, and attractions.
• Walk the waterpark floor during shifts to check safety and lifeguard performance.
• Prepare paperwork and reports in an organized, timely manner.

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Waterpark Lead Lifeguard. In this role, you will be responsible for the safety of guests and associates in all pool and attractions in the indoor and outdoor waterpark areas.

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll ensure that all guests feel welcome and safe and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.

This is an hourly wage position

Key Responsibilities

• Applying knowledge of life‑saving skills and first aid to any guest in need
• Lead lifeguards will assist managers with overall operations, supervision of the waterpark associates, cleanliness and sanitation, and providing beyond expectations guest experience.
• Responsible for the safety of guests/associates in all pools, hot tubs, slides, attractions, and interactive features in the indoor and outdoor waterpark area
• Walk entire waterpark floor throughout shifts checking on safety concerns, guest satisfactions and lifeguard performances.
• Prepare all required paperwork, including forms and reports in an organized and timely manner.

What We’re Looking For

• Starguard Lifeguard Instructor certification in waterpark/special facilities required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a waterpark role preferred
• A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
