Zusammenfassung

City of Victoria is seeking a Utility Equipment Operator to participate in the construction, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems and infrastructure. You will operate backhoes and jet vacuum trucks to excavate water and wastewater lines, locate lines, repair or install systems, and clear blockages.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement and a Class D Water Operator license or higher, plus at least two years of equipment operation experience.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required with two years of experience operating construction equipment.
• Valid Class B Commercial driver’s license with a tanker endorsement.
• Class D Water Operator license or higher.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and TCEQ standards related to water and wastewater systems.
• Experience with records maintenance and retention.
• Ability to read manuals, work orders, maps, and blueprints.

Aufgaben

• Prepare job sites by setting signs, cones, barrels, barricades, and traffic control for outages.
• Operate backhoes and jet vacuum trucks to excavate and clear water/wastewater lines.
• Locate and trace water/wastewater lines; repair or install distribution and collection systems.
• Clear stoppages using sewer tapes and motorized rooting machines.
• Backfill excavations and restore roads to safe traffic conditions.
• Inspect, prepare, and maintain equipment; stock service trucks for work orders.
• Complete and submit work orders and technical drawings.
• On-call duties as required.
