City of Victoria is seeking a Light Equipment Operator to aid work crews in constructing, maintaining, and repairing city streets and drainage systems. You will operate a variety of light equipment under supervision and participate in concrete work as needed.

Essential duties include reviewing work orders, inspecting equipment daily, and ensuring safety on outdoor job sites. The role involves physical tasks up to 50 pounds and requires at least a year of equipment experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience operating light equipment.
• Knowledge of safety policies and local regulations.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and gather materials for tasks.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment daily before use.
• Operate light equipment to support street and drainage projects.
• Assist with concrete work including forms, rebar, patches and pours.
• Complete paperwork such as driving data and site forms as required.
• Maintain and organize equipment, unload/load trucks, and prepare sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
