Job summary

City of Victoria TX is seeking a Utility Systems Technician to support maintenance and construction of water and wastewater systems under basic supervision. The role involves installing and maintaining pipes, valves, hydrants, lift stations, and related facilities, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include operating tools and heavy equipment, logging daily work, and collaborating with staff and the public.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
• Must obtain Class D Water License within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain water and wastewater infrastructure and services.
• Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment.
• Read and complete daily work logs and service forms.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and work with public and staff.
