Job summary

The City of Pasadena is seeking a skilled maintenance worker to perform general tasks on equipment used for maintaining water and wastewater lines and sewage plants. The role may involve SCADA monitoring and after-hours call-outs, with schedule adherence and compliance with timekeeping policies.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of related experience or training, and a valid Texas driver’s license. Preferred: basic wastewater certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Experience in concrete work, pipe work, electrical and general labor.
• Basic Wastewater Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual tasks including general maintenance at a skilled level involved in equipment used for maintenance of water and wastewater lines and sewage plants.
• May use SCADA operations in monitoring and maintenance of wastewater systems.
• May be subject to call out service after hours.
• Works the assigned schedule and complies with the City's timekeeping and attendance policy.
• Must have and maintain all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements.
