Job summary

The City of Pasadena, TX is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform skilled general maintenance on water storage sites, lines and meters, and associated equipment. You will join a small team for daily and weekly upkeep and support field operations.

Responsibilities include mowing, fence repair, painting pipes and buildings, pump and motor maintenance, and ensuring all required licenses and clearances remain valid.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in construction trades such as concrete work, pipe work, electrical and general labor.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record.
• Obtain Class C Groundwater License.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual tasks including general maintenance at a skilled level involved in the equipment used for the maintenance of water, lines and meter, and/or plants.
• Work with co-workers as a team on daily and weekly household maintenance of water storage sites.
• Mowing and trimming around tanks and fences.
• Occasionally, repair fence, paint pipes and buildings, and pump and motor maintenance.
• Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements.
• Works the assigned schedule and complies with City timekeeping and attendance policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
