Job summary

The City of Pasadena, TX is seeking a maintenance worker to perform skilled general maintenance on water and wastewater systems. The role may involve SCADA monitoring and after-hours call outs while adhering to the city’s attendance and timekeeping rules.

A valid Texas driver’s license is required and basic wastewater certification is preferred. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, plus about one year of related experience or training, or an equivalent mix of education and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Experience in construction trades such as concrete work, pipe work, electrical and general labor.
• Valid Texas drivers license and good driving record.
• Preferred: Basic Wastewater Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual tasks including general maintenance at a skilled level involved in equipment used for maintenance of water and wastewater lines and/or sewage plants.
• May use SCADA operations in monitoring and maintenance of wastewater systems.
• May be subject to call out service after hours.
• Works the assigned schedule and complies with the Citys timekeeping and attendance policy.
