Job summary

The City of Pasadena, TX is seeking a maintenance worker to perform skilled maintenance on water and wastewater systems. The role may involve operating SCADA systems and after-hours callouts, with adherence to city schedules and attendance rules.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, plus related experience or training; construction trades experience is helpful. Valid Texas driver license required; wastewater certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in construction trades such as concrete work, pipe work, electrical and general labor.
• Moderate to heavy lifting and prolonged standing; outdoor work in all weather.
• Valid Texas driver license and good driving record.
• Preferred: Basic Wastewater Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance tasks related to water and wastewater lines and/or sewage plants.
• May operate SCADA systems for monitoring.
• May be required to participate in after-hours callouts.
• Adheres to assigned schedule, timekeeping, and attendance policies.
• Maintains all required licenses, certifications, clearances, and job requirements.
