Job summary

Consor is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer in California to design, plan, and deliver essential water infrastructure projects across the state. You will collaborate with managers, specialists, and clients to develop treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and distribution systems.

You will own project delivery, mentor junior staff, build client relationships, and grow into project management and business development roles, with a hybrid/remote work setup and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering.
• 4+ years of water/wastewater experience.
• California PE license.
• AutoCAD & Civil 3D familiarity is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, storage facilities, and related systems.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents for municipal and private-sector clients.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, cost-effective solutions that meet objectives, schedules, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage project tasks and deliverables, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
• Participate in client meetings and serve as a day-to-day point of contact, helping build and maintain client relationships.
• Conduct engineering analyses, evaluate alternatives, and provide recommendations to support planning, design, and implementation.
• Review plans, drawings, and documents to ensure compliance with codes and company procedures.
• Support construction-phase services, including RFIs, shop drawings, site visits, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with senior project managers and technical leaders to develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and EITs while expanding technical expertise and project management responsibilities.
