Wharton-Smith, Inc. seeks an experienced Project Engineer for its Water/Wastewater Division in Tampa, FL. You will support project managers by completing tasks, interfacing with estimating, administration, and superintendents, and contributing to project planning and coordination.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years Engineering Degree required.
• Excellent math skills and scheduling knowledge expected.
• Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.

Responsibilities

• Identify need for RFIs
• Create production plans
• Coordinate facility startup activities and production planning
• Prepare, review and process submittals and shop drawings
• Maintain as-built drawings
• Collect and assemble O&M material
• Purchase Order and Subcontract Scope analysis and drafting
• Material purchasing, expediting, and tracking
• Value engineering design and proposals
• Contract document distribution to jobsite, vendors, subcontractors
• Coordinate subcontractors
• Visits project sites to monitor progress conformance to plans and standards
• Development and distribution of meeting agendas and meeting minutes
• Collecting and enforcement of safety programs and other safety documentation
