Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Water/Wastewater Plants Division in the Jacksonville, FL area, guiding the project from pre-construction through closeout, with emphasis on safety, schedule, cost, and quality.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, 5+ years of water/wastewater construction, and a proven track record delivering multimillion-dollar projects while coordinating with owners,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
5+ years of water/wastewater construction experience.
Experience in managing self-perform crews preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with client/owner, architect, and engineer, to encourage repeat business.
Develop and maintain the project schedule and cost controls.
Coordinate permitting, testing, inspection, and contract requirements.
Negotiate subcontractor agreements and monitor submittals, pay applications, and changes.
Visit job sites regularly to review progress, safety, and quality.
