Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer for the Clark Water Team in Virginia. You will lead technical tasks, coordinate with clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and employees to ensure project accuracy, resources, and quality across the lifecycle.

The role requires 2+ years in a similar construction engineering role, ability to read drawings/specs, and strong communication. Extensive site exposure and a commitment to Clark’s safety and excellence are expected.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience as engineer, project engineer, or similar in construction.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs.
• Prepare and forward submittals; confirm submittal complies with plans/specs.
• Support the development and updating of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules.
• Play a lead role in the development of project plans.
• Monitor and expedite material deliveries ensuring alignment with the project schedule.
• Review change proposals from trade partners and negotiate as appropriate.
• Draft change orders; solicit prices and estimate costs.
• Lead project close out and turnover documentation to owner and subcontractors.
