Job summary

Clark Construction in Nashville, TN invites a Project Engineer to join the team responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of our water/wastewater projects. You will lead coordination among clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and our staff to ensure accuracy, resources, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include supporting scheduling, submittals, cost estimates, change management, and training of the team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as an engineer, project engineer, or similar role in the construction industry
• Ability to read drawings and specifications
• Demonstrated scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and project administration skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Managers in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs
• Prepare and forward submittals; confirm submittal complies with plans/specs
• Support the development and updating of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules
• Lead the development of project plans
• Monitor and expedite material deliveries ensuring adherence to the project schedule
• Review change proposals from trade partners and negotiate as appropriate
• Draft change orders; solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers; estimate costs
• Lead close out of project; assemble manuals and warranties; prepare final payment documents
