Job summary

Consor is seeking a Water & Wastewater Project Engineer in Seattle to plan, design, and deliver municipal water, wastewater, and utility projects for public-sector clients. You will lead design tasks, coordinate with stakeholders, and support project delivery from planning through construction.

Ideal candidates are PE-licensed with 6–12 years of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 6–12 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical or related engineering discipline.
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure design, permitting, and project delivery.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and public-sector agencies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering plans, design calculations, specifications, and technical documentation for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Apply engineering standards, design criteria, and regulatory requirements for accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews to ensure design quality and integrity.
• Lead project tasks and coordinate design efforts with teams, subconsultants, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Serve as a Task Lead or Assistant Project Manager on multidisciplinary teams with contracts valued at $500,000+.
• Support project planning, cost estimating, scheduling, and quality control processes.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Assist with proposal preparation, client coordination, and project pursuits.
• Contribute to securing and delivering $100,000 to $500,000+ in new work annually.
