Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, has a great opportunity for a Project Engineer in Ohio. You will provide engineering support to divisions, manage projects like tanks, booster stations, and WWTP projects, and work under the Engineering Manager.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, EIT or progress toward it within 12 months, and a PE license is preferred. Experience in water/wastewater, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required; E.I.T. or within 12 months.
• Ohio Professional Engineer license preferred.
• 2+ years water and wastewater experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Ten States Standards, AWWA Standards, WEC Standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• MS Office (Excel and Word) proficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan for assigned divisions/systems and projects.
• Coordinate monthly capital meetings with operations and report to senior management.
• Lead the 5-year capital plan for divisions/systems.
• Use Powerplant and SAP for projects.
• Submit permits and approvals as required.
• Obtain necessary easements for projects.
• Manage projects through lifecycle: planning, permitting, construction, closeout.
• Approve pay applications and process invoices.
• Prepare accounting-required project documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
