Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is hiring a Project Engineer for the Ohio region to support design and management of water and wastewater projects. The role reports to Engineering Manager and focuses on tanks, booster stations, lift stations, WTP/WWTP projects, and related infrastructure.

You will coordinate capital planning, permit handling, and lifecycle activities from planning through closeout, ensuring timely, compliant project execution within the Ohio divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required with EIT or ability to achieve within 12 months.
• OH PE license preferred; two+ years water/wastewater experience preferred.
• Strong verbal, written and organizational skills with ability to coordinate multiple projects.
• Knowledge of Ten States Standards, AWWA, WEC standards; reading civil drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Plan for assigned divisions/systems and manage capital projects.
• Coordinate monthly capital meetings and report progress to management.
• Drive 5-year capital plan for divisions/systems.
• Use Powerplant and SAP for project tracking and reporting.
• Prepare permits, obtain easements, and manage lifecycle from planning to closeout.
• Approve pay applications and process invoices; complete accounting paperwork.
