Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, invites applications for a Project Engineer in Ohio. The role provides engineering support across divisions and oversees design and management of projects like tanks, stations, and WTP/WWTP initiatives.

The candidate will coordinate capital planning, manage permits, and ensure lifecycle execution with SAP/Powerplant, with preference for P.E. licensure in Ohio and 2+ years in water/wastewater.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• E.I.T. or ability to achieve within 12 months of hire.
• Ohio PE license preferred.
• 2+ years in water/wastewater preferred.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan for assigned divisions/systems.
• Coordinate monthly capital meetings with operations and report to senior management.
• Drive 5-year capital plans for assigned divisions/systems.
• Use Powerplant and SAP for projects.
• Submit required permits and approvals.
• Obtain necessary easements for projects.
• Manage projects through lifecycle: planning, permitting, construction, close-out.
• Approve pay applications and process invoices.
• Prepare accounting documents for project closure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
