Job summary

Tighe & Bond in Shelton, CT, seeks a Project Engineer 1 to support the One Water Team in planning, design, and construction of wastewater infrastructure across the Northeast. You’ll work with industry experts to deliver reliable systems and sustainable solutions.

You will collaborate on capital projects, use hydraulic modeling, and assist with asset management programs while pursuing licensure as a Professional Engineer and advancing your career in a hybrid office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with drawings, specs, cost opinions, and reports from planning to construction.
• Engage in design discussions on approaches, budget, and schedules for design-bid-build projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, high-quality outputs.
• Delegate tasks, mentor staff engineers, and manage priorities to hit milestones.
• Participate in field work, site visits, data collection and construction observation.
• Deliver innovative and sustainable wastewater solutions for clients.
