Job summary

Tighe & Bond in Shelton, CT is seeking a Project Engineer 1 to join our One Water Team and help plan, design, and supervise wastewater infrastructure projects across the Northeast. The role emphasizes collaborating with a talented team, delivering high‑quality drawings, specifications, and analyses from concept through construction in a hybrid work setting.

You’ll need a Bachelor’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering, 5+ years of consulting experience in wastewater, and PE licensure or ability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• At least five years of consulting engineering experience in wastewater.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months.
• Strong written and verbal communication and enthusiasm for learning.

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings, specs, cost opinions, and reports from planning to construction.
• Discuss design approaches, budgets, and schedules to meet client goals.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for high-quality deliverables.
• Delegate tasks, mentor staff engineers, manage priorities to milestones.
• Participate in field work, site visits, data collection, and construction observation.
• Deliver innovative and sustainable wastewater solutions.
