Job summary

Pennoni in Newark, New Jersey is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team. You will lead design and project coordination for water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment facilities, ensuring high quality deliverables.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and 7+ years of experience, with hands-on expertise in hydraulic modeling and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, EPANET, WaterCAD, and SewerGEMS.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering.
Minimum 7 years of progressive water/wastewater engineering experience.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, EPANET, WaterCAD, and SewerGEMS.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare designs, specifications, and construction documents for water distribution and wastewater facilities.
Perform hydraulic and hydrologic modeling to evaluate system performance.
Ensure compliance with regulations and coordinate environmental permitting requirements.
Support NJDEP compliance initiatives for drinking water and wastewater regulations.
Provide engineering services during construction and respond to RFIs.
