Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a capable Project Engineer to develop and manage capital improvements for water and wastewater facilities. You will lead design and construction, coordinate with engineering and operations, and ensure delivery within budget and schedule.

The role requires managing consultants and navigating regulatory and safety standards. You will drive efficiency, manage environmental permits, and contribute to long-term planning for new acquisitions and system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering.
• 4+ years managing design projects and 2+ years managing water/wastewater projects.
• Experience with design-build, IPD and GMP or reimbursable contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital project delivery including design and construction of water/wastewater facilities.
• Develop project plans, budgets and schedules; manage consultants and contractors.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Operations across cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety and environmental standards.
• Prepare bids, analyze project risks and manage financial activities.
• Support master planning and due diligence for acquisitions.
