Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a Director of Engineering to lead the Mid-Atlantic region's capital program, overseeing water and wastewater upgrades, pump stations, tanks, pipelines and related facilities.

The role partners with operations and regulators, driving project delivery, compliance, and safety. Extensive leadership, design, and delivery experience are required, with travel across site locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical or environmental engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of water/wastewater design and construction project experience.
• 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience with design-build or integrated project delivery and GMP/reimbursable contracting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver $50M+ of water/wastewater projects annually, from concept to closeout.
• Hire, supervise, and mentor the engineering team.
• Coordinate with rate department for capital plans and testimony for rate filings.
• Lead business development efforts and engage with regulators as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Technical and EHS/Security standards in project design.
