Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a Construction Manager to lead two Inspectors and coordinate water facility network construction projects. You will ensure assemblies meet plans and schedules, manage costs, and align with federal, state, and local health, environmental, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include on-site administration, document control, and funds forecasting. Strong experience in water facility construction coordination is required, with OSHA regulation familiarity and

Qualifications

• Familiar with OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of utility budgeting, forecasting and value engineering.
• Ability to coordinate several major activities simultaneously and resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Assists in constructability, operability and maintainability review of new construction design documents.
• Coordinates construction activities with operations and transmission & distribution groups.
• Decides on proper construction techniques and schedules operations in detail.
• Instructs inspectors and tracks progress of materials, supplies, and contractors.
• Ensures permits and licenses for projects are secured by the PM.
• Manages on-site construction administration and inspection.
• Maintains the project’s document control system.
• Reviews and approves contractor payment requests.
• Tracks expenditures during construction of facilities in accordance with policy.
• Communicates project particulars with contractor/developer, government officials, customers and Company.
• Manages Inspectors to verify GPS/GIS information matches field installations.
• Reviews as-built plans for accuracy and compliance.
