Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. is seeking a Plant Supervisor to support water and wastewater facilities in Pennsylvania. The role oversees operations staff, manages vendors, and coordinates with managers to ensure reliable plant operations across surface water plants, wells, and distribution systems.

Strong regulatory knowledge and PA licensing preferred. Responsibilities include supervising well staff, optimizing water quality, and maintaining sampling plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years in the field, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania State and Federal drinking laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise well operators daily functions including visits to wells/tanks/boosters and dosing calculations.
• Manage related capital projects and coordinate with other departments and contractors.
• Ensure operation, maintenance, and optimization of treatment equipment in distribution.
• Coordinate sampling plans with Laboratory Manager and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Serve in an On-Call rotation with 24/7 availability for emergencies and adherence to safety policies.
